Pongees Wild Silks get special treatment for a large scale piece created by The London Embroidery Studio.
It was debuted at the 2025 Design London Shoreditch’s House of Icon and went on to be displayed at The Luxury Fabric Show, also held in this creative area of East London.
Designed and created by the Studio’s senior designer Charlotte Relf, the piece takes its starting point from time spent walking in nature, especially observing the shifting, organic patterns that appear on the surface of water. Those fleeting formations became the basis for the abstract design.
Wild Silks were chosen to echo the textures and movements of algae, while layers of organza reflect the qualities of water and light.
